I've just purchaced BeSafe (v2.01) for use with my palm m500 (PalmOS 4.0). I can't seem to delete categories. I try it on my palm or on my desktop or on both. Nothing seems to work. At first they get deleted (or reported as to be deleted by the desktop) and then they return after sync as if I haven't touched them.
You should also note that it is not necessary to allow someone in when they get the password wrong. With the use of a cryptographic hash like SHA-1 or MD5, you can block people without diminishing the crypto strength. If someone attempts to change the password after entering a bad one. One's data gets effectively destroyed.
