We have been told...OK, that is incorrect, we have been enforced to shut it down because, as we were told, we do not have the right to resemble any portion of it without seriously hurting the sales of the legitimate copyright/trademark creator. It had also been made clear to us that even as a freeware it would still present major threat to that owner's financial health and quite possibly the health and the mental stability (OK, that particular line is our read of what we've been told) of the potential players, having them exposed to a "non-licensed" version of the game.
Put another way, we do not have any way to present a version of the game to the wide audience.
We also leave it up to you to figure where to get it from - whether from the original licensee (currently represent by Handmark) or from an illegal third-party supplier. We have also warned you about the possible implications of your mental stability and health, according to the best of our understanding.
Finally, as explained above we were told we could not market or sell a game even closely resembling the famous Tetris and we definitely will not do so. But there is a rumor that some Beiks customers who drop in a line and request a promptional reward often get something. The rumor does not specify what it is and as a company representative I refuse any comments.
