Japanese words missing?

It seems that the Japanese dictionaries (jpn2en and jpn2engold) are missing some fundamental words: kiku (to listen) and kaigi (meeting). Likewise, the English equivalent dictionaries are missing some too (e.g., listen). These are only some examples. There are more.

Is this really the case?
