Sound on Treo 650 Phrase books?

Just installed BDicty 5.5 Lite and demo versions of the En2FrePhr.pdb and the sound file for OS5 devices, but, although the sound icon is there, there is no sound. No error message; just no sound. All files are in RAM.

Any ideas?
